Once home to Derith’s Hollow and the better known but lesser visited Western Gate, the Orog Reach’s current condition is unknown. From the Dargaard side of the Western Gate there can often be heard strange hollowing winds and moans of ancient giants whose fate is thought lost to the Gashur Mist.
Before the Gashur Mist fell upon Cordotha, The Orog Reach was a treacherous path that few would brave. Orogs and other fearsome giants roamed the province, preying on weak travelers desperate to make it to the Western Gate which led to Dargaard. It was in Dargaard that safety and peace, along with access to the outside world was possible.
A massive idyllic valley lined by unnaturally tall Pine trees to the north and deep iron mountains to the south. The valley floor, less than 1 mile wide, is easy to follow. A healthy east/west road parallel to a roaring river marks what is thought to be the only realistic path through the province.
While not native to the lands, before the Gashur Mist fell a tribe of Orcs was thought to have settled near the South Western region of the Orog Reach.
